The Inspector contains four panes of options that modify everything from objects on the Canvas to the Document itself.
Customize the Inspector as much as you want. Switch from the sidebar Inspector style to Floating using the Inspector menu, and collapse the panes you don't need to see. You can even move the Text Position pane above Shapes, or move Fill all the way to the bottom.
